Katarina Coppé

In the twenty-four years of her professional career, Katarina Coppé worked in sales, HR con­sulting, commercial enablement, and learning and development across many different countries. While working for CEB (now Gartner), she was privileged to be able to access the latest best-in-class research in sales and HR and in a position to apply and experi­ment with these best practices in many different audi­ences of a global and complex B2B organisation. After many years designing and implementing behavioural change and skills programmes for sales and delivery teams, Katarina set up a learning and development function which targeted a broader audience, leading change for all leaders, managers and individual con­tributors on programmes such as performance man­agement, onboarding and manager development. 

Why does she focus on technical experts? Katarina sees herself as a technical expert, one in the domain of HR, specialised in predicting and developing behav­iours and experiences at work. She became fascinated in the link between HR and sales best practices in B2B and how better alignment between these proven sci­ences can drive commercial impact and develop com­mercial behaviours in sales and non-sales audiences.

After using her inhouse expertise in a global learn­ing and development role, and some time as a go-to-market advisor to human capital organisations, she now works with like-minded individuals in Welliba who are on a mission to disrupt traditional employee engagement, Employee Experience (EX), listening and development approaches. Welliba applies behavioural science, AI and EX management technology to help organisations benchmark themselves effectively and access person­alised insight and guidance at scale to help employ­ees, managers and organisations simultaneously reach better outcomes. In October 2024, Welliba won Unleash World’s prestigious Startup Award 2024, voted by an international jury of industry experts.

Katarina lives in Belgium with her partner, Rob, and their two kids, Lucas and Anna. She loves travelling to new places and discovering how people live their lives across the world.
